
Robert A. Graceffo, Ph.D
Founder & Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Robert A. Graceffo is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Off-Campus Clinicians. He earned his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology at the University of Toledo, where he studied personality assessment and psychodynamic psychotherapy. He completed his predoctoral internship at Massachusetts Mental Health Center/Harvard Medical School and a two-year postdoctoral fellowship in the Program for Psychotherapy at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School.

Dr. Graceffo’s clinical work spans hospital, community clinic, university counseling, and private practice settings. In these contexts, he has worked with a wide range of individuals, from people living with serious mental illness and severe personality disorder to students navigating the challenges of higher education and young professionals adjusting to life after school.​

Dr. Graceffo recently authored A Humane Vision of Clinical Psychology, a two-volume book published by Routledge in their Advances in Theoretical and Philosophical Psychology book series. The text explores the nature of mind and psychological transformation, as well as the meaning of the psychotherapeutic encounter. Dr. Graceffo holds a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School, where he teaches and supervises in various psychology training programs.

Matthew C. Johnson, Ph.D., ABPP
Co-Founder & President
Dr. Matthew C. Johnson is Co-Founder and President of Off-Campus Clinicians. He is a board-certified psychologist through the American Board of Professional Psychology. He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University, completed his predoctoral internship at Naval Medical Center Portsmouth, and went on to serve as a psychologist at the Midshipmen Development Center, the U.S. Naval Academy’s counseling and psychological services center. He later led the Behavioral Health Department at Naval Health Clinic Annapolis.

Dr. Johnson has pursued advanced training in several specialties: a postdoctoral M.S. in Clinical Psychopharmacology from Fairleigh Dickinson University, psychoanalytic training at the Contemporary Freudian Institute in Washington, D.C., and a certificate in Executive Coaching from Emory University. His clinical expertise with college students – particularly those in high-performance academic and military settings – shapes his leadership role at Off-Campus Clinicians.

Alek K. Davila, Ph.D.
Co-Founder & Chief Operating Officer
Dr. Alek K. Davila is Co-Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Off-Campus Clinicians and a licensed psychologist. He earned his Ph.D. in Counseling Psychology from Boston College, completed his predoctoral clinical training in the child, adolescent, and adult outpatient psychiatry departments at Cambridge Health Alliance/Harvard Medical School, and his postdoctoral fellowship at the Center for Anxiety in Boston, MA.

Dr. Davila’s clinical work is grounded in a patient-centered approach that integrates psychodynamic, relational, attachment, and third-wave cognitive-behavioral principles. He has extensive experience working with college students navigating high-stress, high-demand environments and has seen firsthand the unique pressures they face today.

As COO, he plays a key role in expanding OCC’s ability to provide students with the therapeutic support they increasingly need. He works to connect overwhelmed counseling centers with OCC, regularly creating new and productive relationships between the two.
